Hi,
does SDR Console supports the optional filter of
the Elad FDM-S3?
I want to plug-in a pair of extra embedded filter.

Nice video Paul.
Could you please make the tests with an SDR receiver?
The effects of the antenna tuning should be more visible on the sdr window than on the Sony LED S-meter,
but the noise will easily be higher.

From the air core open frame loop we begin some experiments with a large ferrite loop antenna 16" long.

That works for me!  Freq display now corrected and so was the High slider.  I had to use the Ribbon/View/Scale approach to make it work. Thank you Simon,  Santa Clause is on his way to your house.

I tried your suggestion and it does not work for me.  I also noticed that while the Low slider works fine the High slider does not have an up/down slider showing.  Just the V shaped scale.

Re: My frequency spectrum is being shown inverted. Why?

Bob,

Please post problems in the new online forums – serves as a good online knowledge base and reduces my support effort and saves me going gently crazy.

There shouldn’t be a problem at all – looking at the attached image you have high < low, the spectrum is inverted.

  1. Ribbon bar, View, Spectrum, Scale:
    1. Set High to -20 dBm
    2. Set Low to -140 dBm
  2. All should now be OK, also the spectrum will be annotated.
  3. Now you can adjust to suit your signals.

See the forum - that is what I did. I posted it as a bug there.

I expect the center frequency to remain constant and the displayed signals to flip from one side to the other. I did not see that, which rather surprised me.

OK, do I have to exit the program or just stop, change the setting, and restart? That is what I did. I repeated it to change the setting again and it didn't change. In awhile I'll make a test on it. OK - two invert spectrum checkboxes exist. One is on the Radio Definitions dialog and the other sometimes is on the Select Radio dialog. The former enables the latter. I missed that. When the latter is showing the it inverts the spectrum left to right.

Boy howdy that's counter intuitive. I'd leave the Select Radio dialog "invert spectrum" visible all the time to avoid confusion, especially since both seem to affect all sources not the selected source.
