Multiple receivers open and one of them not muted or squelched?

Re: SDR Console with Ettus Restarci USRP B210 #ettusb210

Hi,

I have both used (and loved) my Chinesium B210 on SDR Console.

It actually covers about 26MHz through to 6GHz.

The 850GBP OXCO from Ettus also has a Chinesium equivelent, and is <100 on Fleabay just now.. Mine cost nearly double that two years ago. You can run the device (in Rx) with the OXCO installed over a single USB's worth of current. Get one of those Y-USB adapters so you can supply it with the current of two USB ports, or use the supplied 6v PSU. The GPS antenna is ~5 GBP too.

Consider getting it from Ettus if you can afford it - you'll get a warranty. The NI / Ettus warranty both picks up and delivers.

Enjoy.

It works with SDR# as well. There's a plug-in you can add.

Love it.

I suppose it draws power which is good if that is the only performance that matters to you. As for meeting specifications? I'd not take that bet to Las Vegas.

It is very likely a pirated cheap Chinese knockoff. But you probably had that figured out already.

Could you please tell me how it runs?
Besides Ettus, I have seen on AliExpress  a board almost identical.
Are the boards the same produced by the same manufacturer?

Rick.  I bought one a few years ago and it worked well with SRDC. It did everything I wanted it to do. I do not use it now though as I found that I preferred using the mouse rather than a jog.

Re: Future desire: Tuning Step access?

Radio Guy

I use 10 kHz on MW and 5 kHz on shortwave, so I had to compromise and use 5 all the time.

If the Audio Equalizer is getting it's own easy access dialog, how about the Tuning Steps? When hunting Trans-Pacific MW stations, it would be nice to change to 9kHz versus my normal 10kHz band spacing without the deep dive in the options menu. I'm sure there are some Trans-Atlantic folks who wouldn't mind this either...

A nice little drop-down box on the Receiver pane and a quick click, you're done. I do like to be able to change the tuning steps regardless of mode when on the hunt. Perhaps 'mode-dependent,' where only those tuning steps for the current operating mode are on the list, versus all tuning steps for SDRC.

All of the Norton amplifiers have been sold. If there is any more interest I will build to order.

I just finished building 6 Norton amps, 4 with relays that will short out the inputs when power is off to offer some protection. Two of the Norton amps are without relays. Two of them with relays are sold. If anyone is interested in buying on please contact me at everettsharp@....

I use Norton amps here at my QTH on Low Noise Vertical antennas (LNV). I have two of them and use them with a phaser. They are the best antennas I have.
