Max,

Attached is a picture of SDRC running Fldigi with VB-Audio (Ver.1.0.3.5) and Voicemeter (Ver.1.0.6.8). My PC is also using the on-board Realtek audio. The last time I ran this was under Win7-64, but the screen shot seen here is running now in Win10-64. The screenshot should have enough info to point you in the right direction.

Hi Bill

I tried all the VB-Audio progs and all behave the same. They all work perfectly with every other program I tried but for some reason the audio from SDRC just never even gets to the VB-Audio cable, no matter what the flavour. I also tried Banana and Voicemeter. Same issue sadly. I must have a conflict somewhere in my system hardware between SDRC and the way VB-Audio handles things. VAC works perfectly. No idea why.

I have Realtek on-board audio which I am told by others sometimes can be flaky (although mine always seems fine apart form this one issue).

I too had the same problems, but I found that Voicemeter, which is like a VB-Audio mixer, can be used to monitor the audio through your PC, and works well with the free VB-Audio Cable version.

Rich,

Are you in the test team yet? I would like you to test the E310 with the current code.

All:

I am currently have multiple E310’s on a network. I am ssh’ed into one and running the “gpsmon” utility without issue.  When I used SDR Console V3.0.20 and attempt to search for this device, I get an error claiming no device can be found. I have included my logfile for review.

Did not know that was possible.  Will definitely add the two you just suggested.  Thank you so much for posting this information!!!

please consider adding a stereo button when in BFM mode
You can assign keyboard shortcut for changing mono/stereo. I chose S key for this purpose. Similarly, I'm using M for muting audio. In my opinion, there's no need for separate stereo button at all. Using keyboard shortcut is so much better way.

SDRC-ANAN-Transverter Combo

Julian

Edited

I hope I'm overlooking something really simple but I'm having trouble to get the Tx offset working as needed with a ANAN & transverter combination.

The transverter is a 28IF-144Mhz transverter with 116Mhz oscillator.

I've configured the converter definition as seems logical and on Rx everything works as hoped but as soon as I take the Tx outside the ANAN's native range the ANAN knows, with the associated relay clicks and lack of drive. As soon as I remove the Rx/Tx sync and bring the Tx back within the ANAN's native range (with the down converter definition still active) full drive/output is restored.

So it can run split no problem with the Rx/Tx not synced, but then you loose the synced tuning functionality.

It seems to be the Tx offset isn't being applied.

Any help much appreciated!

Julian

Simon wants full size sccreen shots so that he can read information from the screen that tells him how SDRC was configured.

Hi OM,

I also have a similar issue with all my Win7 PC/Laptops. Simon acknowledged this as a Win7 related issue and said it's on high priority to fix it.

Re: Persistent BUG with SDR Server

Hi Pedro,

it seems that you did not set the correct parameters in the server configuration.
I use V3.0.21 and it works perfect, but i had the same problems some month ago until i corrected the configuration.

Look at Server Manager under Network and set the WAN bandwidth (500khz or whatever) and switch compression to on.

Hi Max

Thank you for your reply.
Tuning issue: no, I have set the mode to CW (u). So I still do not know why cw skimmer does not follow me when I change frequency on the SDR Console. It does it only when I use the zoom function and zoom  in or out a little bit on the spectrum.

Hi Mike

Like I said, I don't have any issue with VAC but I do have an issue with VB-Audio...... two different cables from two different authors......

Anyway, only seems to be me so must be something unique to my system. Not a problem because now I paid up for VAC.

Re: SDR Console and CW Skimmer tuning #cw

Max

Hi Jurg

CW Skimmer works OK for me but I do find it a big resource hog. Some of the issues you are having sounds like maybe the hardware is struggling? For me sometimes the whole thing chokes and I need to restart CW Skimmer, and my PC is i7 CPU with plenty memory and Nvidia CUDA GPU, so quite well specified. I am actually looking for alternatives to CW Skimmer.

Regarding the tuning issue, I am sure you already did this, but do you have the mode set to CW in the DSP panel of SDRC? What you describe sounds a little like you have either LSB or USB selected as the mode? For me with CW (U or L) selected, CW Skimmer tunes SDR perfectly.

Good luck and 73

SDR Console and CW Skimmer tuning #cw

Jurg HB9AWJ

Hi everybody

The CW-Skimmer (ver 2.0) does not work completly perfect with the SDR Console (when I use the same skimmer with my Anan 10e and the PowerSDR mRX PS as software I do not have any problem). I have two problems concerning the tuning:
- First: to center the cw skimmer on the same frequency as the frequency of the RX1 I have move a bit the zoom function. Only doing it in this way I get the same frequency in the cw skimmer as in the RX1. Otherwise I do not know which signals in the spectrum are displayed by the cw skimmer.
- Secondly: If I want the RX1 to go to the signal on which I click in the cw skimmer, I'm telled by they SDR console : "please wait", and this sign remains for ever and the whole SDR console is blocked (turning ring instead of mouse arrow). Then I can only restart the SDR console.

Does anybody has an idea?
Thanks, Jurg, HB9AWJ

I was just about to post this very future request. I've been using "favorites" instead of "memories" and would love to display them as markers.

I'll take your statement and raise you.  There's not enough praise for not just the DSP, but all the other features as well!  SDR Console is simply amazing.

David Jackson

I don't feel like there's nearly enough praise for the amazing noise reduction DSP's Simon has put some much

hard work into! That new Spectral reduction filter is simply amazing, digging signals completely out of the weeds!

PANADAPTER DISPLAY ISSUE

Steve KH6CT

Setup:  FTdx3000, Win4Yaesu, DXLab, Console V3 as a Panadapter only (With Favourites defined for the ham bands I'm authorized to use)
Problem:  Let's say I'm starting in 40M with my Favourite set to display frequencies between 7.125 and 7.300.  Then I click on a 20M spot in DXLab's Spot Collector, and the radio QSYs to the frequency defined for the spot.  SDR Console also will QSY to the correct frequency, with a frequency display between 14.100 and 14.300.  My Favourite for 20M is 14.175 to 14.350, so I then have to click on the 20M Favourite to display the desired frequency spread.
So, is there any way to make Console automatically display my Favourite's frequency spread when I QSY between bands ?
Thanks for any insight here...  Steve KH6CT
