OK - you may have uncovered a bug. I'll look at this later today or tomorrow, this should be something I can easily reproduce. Simon Brown, G4ELI https://www.sdr-radio.com

So, attached are - 5 screenshots showing that a) FCD is still working in a local console, b) connecting to a remote SDR server doesn't allow to select the remote sound card, and c) after connecting to a remote FCD, all I get is random noise (probably from my local sound card instead of the remote FCD). Plus, d), as mentioned earlier, the remote control for FCD's gain settings is missing in the remote connection. All you can do is open the Server properties. - 2 screen shots showing DirectX diags from the local machine which connects to the remote server as well as the remote server itself - 2 log files from server and client In the logs, you can see that when the console asks to connect (line 223++), the console asks to use the soundcard "VoiceMeeter VAIO3 Output (VB-Audio VoiceMeeter VAIO3)" which is a local sound card on the console. With previous versions, you would select the FUNcube dongle sound interface on the remote server. And I guess that's the problem. Let me know if you need anything else. -- Dan

OK,
Guessing here - looks like the recording started 5 minutes early, maybe you set a reminder and when this popped up you told it to start straight away? As it started for the scheduled recording instance the subsequent logic is correct IMO. I’ll think this through later, looking at a nasty and obscure UI but at the moment.

Re: Recording/Playing 3.0.13

Simon,
new
inconsistencies found in the recording function, 3 screenshots
attached.
The "select recording" shot shows a recording that is marked as inactive and has been activated anyway. The activation took place at a different time (05.50h) than originally planned. After 4.35 min the recording stops. Subsequently, the recording intended for this period was started. In the shot "select recordings - scheduled recordings" this recording is not registered because it was marked as inactive. In the shot "select recording - definitions" all definitions can be seen. The inactive definition titled "MW Asia 10.9." is set to 02.25 h. Hope this is helpful.

Funcube via SDR Server
#bug
Daniel Post
Hi Simon,
what happened to the Funcube support? Mine's still working on a local SDR console, I just checked that using 3.0.13. But via remote SDR server, it seems to become more unusable with every new release :-( First, when I switched from v2 to v3, the remote control for gain settings etc disappeared (https://sdr-radio.groups.io/g/main/message/44733). Posted Jan 18, nothing happened ever since. Now, with 3.0.13, it won't deliver proper audio. All I get is random noise from an unknown source. Maybe I missed something, but I'm using the same setup since v2, and all I did is updating your software. This makes the good old Funcube unusable for remote users, which is a shame if there's a lot of QRM around the house :-( My guess is that this new dialog which allows to connect to a remote server has something to do with it.. maybe it's using the wrong audio source or whatever. Before the introduction of the new Connect dialog, I could select the FCD from the list of my remote devices, select the audio device, and it would allow me to listen to my FCD. Now, when I connect to the server, it retrieves the remote devices from the server, I can select the radio and the bandwidth, but not a soundcard, which might be the issue here. As soon as I hit start, it seems to connect, but all I get is a static noise which sounds like a locked audio device. (I used to develop Windows Kernel Streaming applications in the past, and if you got something wrong, it would lock and sound exactly like this.) So, to summarize: - version 3.0.13 - running SDR Console directly on my remote PC allows me to select FCD, select the soundcard (Line (FCD V2.0)), select the bandwidth (192 kHz) -> everything's working as expected - stop SDR Console on the remote PC, start SDR Server service - run SDR Console on a local PC, connect to the remote PC, select FCD + bandwidth, but no soundcard -> scrambled audio Even if you consider FCD as being old (https://sdr-radio.groups.io/g/main/message/48400), I bet there are still many users around who use it regularly. And sure enough, recent SDRs will outperform FCD, but I'm not interested in buying new hardware just because the latest gizmo has better filters, a higher bandwidth (192 kHz, right ^_^ ) and so on.. My FCD Pro+ allows me to listen to HF without having to use downconverters, and the quality is still fine enough for me.. I hope that you have some time to spare and fix the current issues in one of the upcoming releases :-) That is, unless someone else has come across the same issue, and there's an easy way to fix it.. again, maybe I simply missed something. Have a good one, -- Dan

Hi alls,
I try TX now. I have ajusted bandwidth at 750Kz, and 8089.5Mhz offset. Modulation in monitoring is OK , but when I try to transmit TUNE, no power output. Also I can see the TX calibrate is not active (grey with red cross), I forgot something? 73 Franck
