did you engage BOTH button in the beacon lock window??

first starts the beacon receive but second is also needed (play button) to let also the beacon lock WORK

maybe thats the fault??

Thanks for the info on the USB relay board  I have ordered one!

Regarding the offset When I lock to the wideband beacon I see an indicated offset of around 4KHz, on the lower lock screen  which seems to tie in with difference between transmitted and expected receive frequency

Quick question....probably a long answer!

I am using the program with my Lime to work through Oscar 100..but am running out of fingers !

Is there an option to key the main amplifier via a USB / RS232 automatically when TX is selected on the screen.

yes ... buy a usb relay board on aliexpress or amazon or evilbay or .....

simon supports usb relay ... so with that you can swithc on and off your amp (or if needed switch a coax relay)

Secondly I may  be missing something, but even after syncing the rx using the WB beacon ...the rx is about 4KHz away from the notional frequency ...so netting is not straight forward ..requiring mental arithmetic !..is there a TIT   Transmit Incremental Tuning to address this issue..G4UVZ

IF YOUR RECEIVER IS SET WELL AND ALSO YOUR TRANSMITTER THEN THERE IS NO NEED FOR RIT OR XIT!!!

if you sync with the beacon ... then tx and rx should be transceive ... if not ... then you have to finetune the lime ...

i own a pluto so can not help with alignment of your lime .... but ... when you change the tuning of tx ... (software correction of ppm value) then it tunes also rx clock .... so you have to wait after a change till the beacon again has locked and synced the tx to rx

i can receive duplex and i just turn the tun9ing till i receive my own voice with NO OFFSET ...

did you make all settings right?? (example the tx offset of 8089.5megs)???

if yes ... then it MUST be the ppm correction of your lime

Re: DX Patrol Mk 4 and HF with SDR-Radio

Hi,

As far as I know, this receiver is a RTL TV dongle with an upconverter to cover HF. The limited dynamic range of the A/D converter can make funny things like the one that you are experiencing. Try adjusting the RF gain so you trade sensitivity versus saturation but you will see that the performance in HF is quite poor.

Hallo Dale and jdow, thanks for the suggestions. I did not feel like putting my (clumsy) hands on other dll's, so I tried what Dale suggested. Unfortunately it did not work. I then contented myself to explore the HF with DX Patrol with HDSDR and indeed it works - but I found strong broadcasting signals on 21 MHz, in the 15 mtr. amateur band. This was already strange, but my heart sank when I tuned the same frequencies with my faithful Yaesu FT-897 and found nothing like that. It has to be some sort of artifact (on a conventional superhet I would think of image frequencies). I think I'll skip HF listening with the little gizmo for a while...

Play back of recording from attached last message plays back OK with no distortion. Guess it must be a driver problem with windows 10 19.03 Suggestion as to where to start looking to solve the problem please.

Emil,

Take no notice, use the link to re-join.
I moderate a group and see this regularly, it just needs an over-active
spam filter to mark a message.
Note it says "Sent to you" not that you sent it.

Are they in your Email Service Provider's spam folder?

I have received the same message about 11:30 ESDT this morning yet I continue to receive mail from the group address. I have made no changes to my settings. I concluded that the email message itself was false.

Might that be the case?

Hello,

You have been automatically removed from main@SDR-Radio.groups.io because your Email Service Provider reported to us that one or more messages sent to you from main@SDR-Radio.groups.io has been marked as spam.

Can someone explain?

The spam messages are not coming from me, send folder shows no unusual activity and my account was not hacked as far as I know.

Thank you and sorry for the OT
