Hello Simon,

I have a problem with the Satelite Tracking Prog. in V3.01.

Names can be added in the name Organizer, but unfortunately they can not be deleted anymore.

Is there a way to remove satnames? see also screenshot.

Great on the digital modes, don't forget to give us a choice on the FM mode so we can get into the Telemetry section of satellites  (200bps Data under voice).  Also see what you can do to get the NOAA screen reception sorted out. About time to send some more cash to keep the dog/s well fed ….

Data File Analyser v3.0.1

Uwe Volk <sdr1@...>

Dear Simon,

I recorded a couple of mediumwave spectrums during the last few days and used the Data File Analyser for ivestigate s/on and s/off times. This part of the console is a hidden treasure from my point of view.

To export the images you may use the button "Screenshot" or "Save as ..." .
a. the "Screenshot" option exports a .png image, but only what is currently shown on the screen.
b. the "Save as ..." option exports the whole capture time as .png , .jpg, or .bmp image.

The "Screenshot" option exports the image with the correct recording time scale unlike the "Save as ..." option.

No matter, when your recording started, the time scale always starts with 00:00:00. I would wish to have the correct recording time on the extreme left and right side.

Best wishes,
Uwe.

Hi All,

A few weeks ago, I start the digital mode interface – just a small window where I can develop PSSK / RTTY etc. before making a nice big digital mode display. Anyway, I found that some of the early code in V3 wasn’t as efficient as it should be, inter-thread messaging was making the main thread’s message pump work too hard. I’ve spent the last few days in this area, and have now made some remarkable performance improvements (maybe I should not write such bad code in the first place - but it’s all a big learning curve).

The result is the load on my Intel NUC NUC7i5BNH can now be less than 1% - see attached screenshot. On ‘weaker’ systems such as my 2008 Cure2Duo 2GHz 4GB laptop the code is much more responsive, so this exercise has been worthwhile.

With luck 3.0.2 will be released on Monday, the test team get to play later today.

Store visual gain settings with memories? V3

Max

Using RSP2 Pro. Because of the varying noise level at HF and VHF at my location and with my limited HF antenna at present, I operate with 0dB visual gain for VHF and for HF where the noise is higher I pull the visual gain back about 30dB to restore base noise level to S0 on the display (and audibly). It's irritating when going between HF and VHF to constantly manually adjust the visual gain backwards and forwards each time. Is there, or would it be possible to have, an option to store the visual gain setting within a memory and/or also the favourites for the Rx Matrix? This would be useful to have a selectable option to turn on or off an option to store visual gain on save.

Any chance Simon? Apologies if this is already there but I don't see it if so.

Using latest version of SDR CONSOLE on top of W10 Home version 1803. CPU is a i7 6770, 16GB RAM and 1050Ti graphics card. SDR used is AirSpy latest public firmware, sampling at 10MHz.
In general v3 non beta always had fluency issues when executing. In a degree that made it completely useless, unfortunately for me. This version was more or less clickable but again kept crashing all the time. Crash dump pop up appears but even if I wait for ten minutes or so nothing else is returned and memory usage sky rockets to more than 10GB, following up by me killing the process.

I am willing to troubleshoot.

Same result here.

Recorded full pass of NOAA 19 with V3 of the software. Using IC-R8600. When piping audio via VAC to WXtoImg getting only distorted output either live or recorded. Tried different settings in VAC, no changes. NOAA signal received with WFM, 40KHz.

Have switched back to SatPC32 with doppler and rotor control and use the Icom audio codec (usb).. Now images are clear.

Picture shows example with audio codec (usb):
