All I saw in your message was:

Wondering if anyone found a solution to this issue with the v3/SDR-14?
I tried my SDR-14 with the v3 software and I get the same problem as
Keith described.
What are you talking about? Who is "Keith"?

It would help everyone if you just gave us the tiniest clue, by including a brief quote from "Keith's" message.

Many thanks for the link Terje.

I already have dual boot & could use Angel, but would rather SDR-console. Not just for Windows, but how it functions & appears.

Thank you,
Ed

Re: CAT control

KG7SWP@...

Simon, what I am trying to understand, is if the CAT data can be sent from the PC (Udoo X86 Ultra) as a serial signal, for me to translate into what I need to do my bandswitching & PA selection.
What I read on the page about CAT, made it seem that it is only to control the LimeSDR (Or other SDR) as a slave, using  TS-2000 commands.

Really, if I can get band data & TX/RX status, that would be fine.

The PA section is from a Yaseu FT857. It has a single coax for tranmit & another for receive.
All BPFs, LPFs, atenuators, PAs & TX/RX is controlled by a couple CMOS chips, that I can translate from the CAT or Band data & TX/RX status.

In the end, I would like to have a "Ham Radio" that does many other things, too.

THank you,
Ed

Hi Simon,

installed new without replacing any DLLs. Running now with my Perseus and MultiPSK fine.

Have made a donation right now. Tnx for help and great software.

OK,

The Perseus will not start. Try a new install, do not replace the DLLs, just run from the kit without making any changes. If this fails then I don’t know why your Perseus will not run.

Augusto,

What are you going to use it with?
If it is for soundcard SDR it might be critical.
But just for voice or data then almost anything will be good enough.

Bug maybe?

I have a shortcut (Ctrl-G) to enter the frequency. This won't work in the whole program. If I enter the frequency, and close with enter, the window reopened.

Subject: [SDR-Radio] New #sdrconsole user - Generic feedback

Hi all!

I've been playing with RTL-Dongles and AirSpy radios few years now learning all kind of interesting about these small beasts.

Now as my hobby starts to be quite intensive SDR# for example was not able to be my main SDR software any more and I started to find a replacement for it.

I have stumbled to SDR Console few times before, but the learning curve has been too much for me, the way I learned to use these radios with SDR# made my brain to think the #-way and as SDR Console is waaaayyyyyy ahead it took me some time to get it work - also what I've learned is that SDR Console is more real radio CAT controller than just a SDR software and as I have never used a 'real radio' I had some extra things to learn.

I've have now been playing with the latest SDR Console V3 about five days and I can say already that I won't use anything else any more. This is a awesome SDR SW! From now on I need to go back to SDR# only, if I want to use my DirectSample modded NooElec dongle and long wire that is attached to it - or I can of course use the latest SpyServer and create a OverTheNetwork connection to that dongle and use it With V3 too as with the options available in SpyServer one can create a 'bridge' for V3 to understand DirectSample dongles.

So, thank you and be prepared to get some Paypal's after the official V3 release is out :-)

I wish there was an answer for my query. I see now, that SDRAngel has ways to perform this function. Not Linux fan, but tried compiling the REST boxes & think I can figure it out.
I hope that sometime, there might be advancement in this area, as I would rather use Windows.

Thankyou,
Ed
================================

SDRAngel is available for Windows, although the author no longer maintains it. It's a pain to compile the way it's written and with all the library dependencies, I'm told by someone who has attempted this! We desperately need someone to make a new Windows version!

Re: ADALM-PLUTO, anybody used one; able to offer some pros and cons?

David J Taylor

Thanks David,

Spent the evening watching a presentation by ADLAM on the specifics of whats under the hood, and a few of Tyson's videos for some practical applications, I'm gonna get one, didn't realise they have an onboard PC, that's a bonus.

I'm working on a limited budget trying to get a range of usb controlled frontend conditioners off the bench so the signal generator is of great interest as is the lack of onboard filters.

Slightly off topic but of interest, a post on an astrophysics forum - under $10 LNA rated at 32dB 1MHz-2Ghz, the astro guys are submerging them in liquid nitrogen, gonna grab a couple of those to play around with, company mentioned selling them was was called 'banggood ', quick search of their site - 12 assembled <$10 LNA's of various spec's and 1 adbs specific.
=====================

Ye, they have on-board computing power, but it's more an FPGA than a PC - see:

https://www.eevblog.com/forum/rf-microwave/adalm-pluto-sdr/?action=dlattach;attach=342825;image

from:

https://www.eevblog.com/forum/rf-microwave/adalm-pluto-sdr/

I've bought from Banggood before and they appear to be OK.

Cheers,
David

Ed,

I don’t really understand what you want to do. If you can explain it simply it may already be possible. Maybe a block diagram?
