I didn’t see an IQ out on the back unless via the USB of course I’ll ask again tomorrow see if I can get an answer, they wouldn’t tell me today, possibly because I had my elad hat and shirt on, I’m guessing about $3500-$3900 range like the 7610 or the new TS820

If the highend ICOM RX R8600 has an I/Q output, you can be almost 100% sure that the FTDX101D will get one, too.
I surely will try to test it, when it arrives on the market here.

I think David Solomon's comment should do it, but let me elaborate since you had no success:

Assuming you are using V3 SDR-Console:

1.  Download the correct UHD release from Ettus: https://files.ettus.com/binaries/uhd/uhd_003.010.000.000-release/uhd_003.010.000.000-release_Win32_VS2013.exe
2.  Install UHD
3.  Download Zadig: https://zadig.akeo.ie/downloads/zadig-2.3.exe
4.  Connect Ettus board
5.  Run Zadig, select the WestBridge device from the dropdown menu.
6.  Click the dropdown box next to the Install Driver button.
7.  Select WinUSB, then click Reinstall WCID driver
8.  Close Zadig
9.  Disconnect then reconnect Ettus board
You should be all set, but if not then here is what I did:

10. After downloading you should have an images folder.
The program needs to know where it is so it should be on the Path in the environment variable list.
I created a folder called C:\Program Files\SDR-Radio.com (V3)\UHD_IMAGES_DIR
I moved all the images into this folder.

To put the folder on the path: Open the search ICON and type: system environment
Select Edit the system environment variables control panel
     Select the Environment Variables tab
You should see Path on the lict
Just below that box, click New
For the Variable name put in:  UHD_IMAGES_DIR
For the variable value put in: C:\Program Files\SDR-Radio.com (V3)\UHD_IMAGES_DIR
       Click OK
     Click OK  again
  Click OK  again
11. Now find the images folder and drag or copy them to the new folder, C:\Program Files\SDR-Radio.com (V3)\UHD_IMAGES_DIR
12. After you follow David's instructions, you should have UHD files in C:\Program Files (x86)\UHD\bin
If not search for where this folder is. It contains the ETTUS utilities that run the driver directly to check out the board.

13. Assuming Windows 10: Open the search ICON and type: CMD
14.   Change Directory to where the UHD utilities are:  CD C:\Program Files (x86)\UHD\bin
15.      To see if your SDR is recognized type:  uhd_find_devices.exe
16.      To see what firmware is on the device type: uhd_usrp_probe.exe

If these don't run then SDR Console won't run because the system can't find the necessary files:
usrp_b2xxxxxxxxx. SDR-Console should be able to find the files once they run.

17.  Start SDR-Console
18. Select / Find the Ettus radio through the normal process
19. Now, Finally Enjoy !

Stuttering audio

Marc Vissers

Hi,

I’m experiencing stuttering audio with SDR-Radio V3 Beta 2 with audio latency increasing gradually from 10-20 ms to 50-60 ms. Any clues what might be the reason for this ?

The hardware is a desktop with Intel Core i7-7700K @ 4.20 GHz and a Airspy SDR.

Any help/tips are appreciated.

Hi Mike

I had the same thing happen to me but mine is connected to my Ftdx3000.

For some it started tracking after I disconnected the USB cable from my pc and reconnected it. (The USB cable from rig to PC).

Hi,

Many thanks for the donation, keeps myself & dog alive 😊 .

As you’re only running with 400kHz bandwidth the CPU load is much higher than I would expect, I’m guessing an underpowered PC – what’s the spec?

Thanks Simon I just sent you a Paypal.  So I got it working now I think I was using the wrong UHD Firmware.  Now I have some type of crackling and a small notch at the center freq? Maybe USB noise?   Thanks again.

Hi Alex,

Well they aren't going to compete with Icom at that price unless its just the usual dealer rip off for a new product.

When I had my Flex 5000 (early UK adopter) I eviscerated a wired mouse (and later a wirless mouse) to use as a VFO worked really well and was much cheaper than the Flex offering when it eventually arrived a couple of years later.

The rear of the 101d show HDMI out and 2 x RX2 out as well as other things.

Alex,
thanks for reply.
The price the Bielefeld company states is not the sales price.
Further down the page you will see their note that price &
delivery time are unknown at the moment.
