I downloaded this. But I see no way to make it work with either the RTL
nor SDRC. Am I missing something here?

Sharing Favorites Over Several PCs

Dominic Dambro

If this is even possible, I'd love directions.
I have Version 3, Build 811 installed on several PCs around the house; two Windows 10 desktops, one Windows 10 laptop and a Windows 7 laptop.
I would love to sync my favorites among all of them. If I add a favorite while listening in the kitchen, I would like it to be available to me when I use a laptop in the bedroom.
Is it possible to keep a central favorites file and share it on the network? I use an Afedri SDR-Net with SDR Console over LAN, so I like to move around.

Thanks,
Dominic

Hi,
I am trying to connect Ettus B210 SDR with sdr console v3. But later found that there is a known bug which crashes the program when trying to connect.
Is there any work around for this issue?

I didn't find a work around with SDRconsole.

Have a B210. There are several other methods for geting the radio to play.

SoDA radio: http://sodaradio.sourceforge.net/Site/SoDaRadio.html

Windows GNUradio: http://www.gcndevelopment.com/gnuradio/

HDSDR.

Been working on various other parts of my portable station. This
(portable VHF/UHF SDR for satellite) is coming back around in
November.

I try to waste time where there will be returns of some kind.

I have the top
I have (NooElec NESDR SMArt Bundle)
I can listen to VHF without any problem, but when I want to listen to HF I can not catch any signal.
http://www.nooelec.com/store/nesdr-smart.html
The top one covers 24MHz upwards,
Look at
"Additional Information - Frequency Range (approximate) 25MHz - 1750MHz"
It does not cover HF. Get the converter.

HF reception will be extremely poor on your Comet GP-9 antenna.  I have one of those, it's designed specifically for 2 meters and 70cm, it will barely pick up anything at all on any of the HF bands.  You'll be much better off using just a long wire.

You may need a transverter.  See: http://airspy.com/spyverter-r2/

Thanks for adding me

David Woodward

Thank you for adding me...I use sdr console mainly for ham radio satellite downlink. I've found that a simple 2 meter moxon antenna pointed straight up in the air, and console v2, is all I need for everything from air band to 440 repeater work.

Using IF output from K3 Rig - Ver 2.3 versus Ver 3 July 18, 2017 Preview

Chris Bradford <chrisnj5n@...>

I have been using Ver 2.3-Build 2760 with my SDRPlay 1 and the IF output from my K3 (8,215,000) and OmniRig with good results. When I use VER 3 July 18, 2017 Preview it works, however the tuning is not the same. As an example if use the zoom feature (which is really nice having it on the screen)  zooms but if I move the VFO after that everything goes back to a +- 100KHZ loosing the zoom in or out. Also as I use VER 3 the base frequency (the frequency displayed)  moves to the nearest 100KHZ versus anything in the middle.

Is this part of Ver 3 still being developed or am I missing some setting?

Another odd thing I have noticed is that if move my VFO B for like a split operation Ver 3 tracks the VFO B, I do not have a Sub Recv installed in my K3.

Thank You & 73,
Chris

Re: v3 Preview - June Audio recording, not recording the expected frequency

Simon Brown

Hi,

I just checked this – seems OK.

  1. See screenshot attached.
  2. I selected the first option ‘Record’ in the Audio panel of the Rec/Playback pane.
  3. I then selected WAV

  4. Then I selected Start.
  5. The ‘Recording; text is shown in the Receivers window in Yellow.
  6. After the recording completed I selected Browse to browse the most recent folder where I found 11-Aug-2017 19h29m17s - 3.662 MHz, LSB.wav which I played back with standard Windows media software, in this case Groove Music.

My conclusion is that you either confused an audio file with an IQ (Data) recording or you made an IQ (data) recording by mistake.

Anyway the software does work and I’m off to bury my head in the code again 😊 .

Subject: [SDR-Radio] v3 Preview - June Audio recording, not recording the expected frequency

Greetings,

Using the June 16th preview, build 811, 64bit on Windows 10, using a SDRPlay RSP2 Pro.

I did a complete reset, deleted all of the registry keys & user files, and still have this same trouble.

When I select a frequency, and record, recording seems to happen from the center of the waterfall.

I do not get the audio from my tuned frequency in the recording, and the filename indicates that the recording is from the middle frequency in the waterfall, not the RX frequency.

Example: Tuned to 7.165.000, record filename is "11-Aug-2017 133848.398 7.100MHz 000.wav"

Am I doing something wrong, or have I identified a bug?

Thanks Simon for such a wonderful application.

A really long wire should do the trick. But you can also build a simple dipole for the bands of interest you are trying to receive.

I'm using as software SDRSharp,

I can listen to VHF without any problem, but when I want to listen to HF I can not catch any signal.
I'm using below setting
<mime-attachment.jpg>

When I use this setting the screen look like there is many signals but there is no any real signal from armature radio . as below.
<mime-attachment.jpg>

I'm using comet gp-9 antenna.

My questions is
1-how can I use my SDR to listen to HF armature radio ?
2- How to findout the correct shift number which I should set ?
<mime-attachment.jpg>

What antenna should I use if my antenna not good for SDR ?

My location is Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
And sorry for my English language is not good .

Thanks for your help
