Re: V3.2 New Beta

I've had quite a frustrating afternoon. First trying
to download the "Shiny new v3.2 beta of SDR Console" my file was
downloaded as SDR-Radio V3.2, 64-bit, 2022-07-25_1249.exe.wav
via Dropbox. I tried again and still the same result so I renamed
the file removing the ".wav" and that worked fine. Now, what is
changing the file name? I restarted my pc then tried the download
again but still a double extension (.exe.wav). Hmm, must
be the server doing this somehow, for some reason. I then tried
the Microsoft download option. It was really slow, finally
finished and still the wrong filename.

Looking at the Firefox download progress indicator the file name has changed during or before saving the file. I then tried reporting this on the forum. I entered my username but couldn't remember my password. I looked up my password on my flash drive and when I entered it a message was displayed - You exceeded the maximum allowed number of login attempts. In addition to your username and password you now also have to pass the CAPTCHA test. One attempt! Ok so I went through all that again, I answered the CAPTCHA and it went back to the same thing. I tried again and still it is in a loop for me trying to log in. Well, guess I'll try resetting my password so I clicked on Resend activation email. I'm still waiting (about an hour and a half) for a reply. I installed the file with no problem but still can't figure out what changed the download extension name. Time for another cup of coffee (or something stronger!) Still no activation email. Tried to do a new activation again and it displayed: ...............................................................
Information
Your account has already been activated. Well that was another waste of time: ................................................................ Login You exceeded the maximum allowed number of login
attempts. In addition to your username and password you now also
have to pass the CAPTCHA test.
