Re: inquiry re a couple of functions

Hi Kriss,

I assume you mean 500 Hz step.  Setting it to 500 kHz would allow for some very quick tuning with the mouse wheel! ;>)  I’ve also set my default SSB tuning step to 500 Hz, or 0.5 kHz to allow for precise tuning, for the very same reasons you describe.

Thanks for sharing your tip.

Personally, I set the SSB tuning steps to 500kHz. Most SSB QSO's are on whole digit kHz frequencies. i.e. 3928 kHz, 7255 kHz, 14300 kHz etc.
On17M there's lots of activity on 18157.5 kHz so hence my selection of 500kHz
Makes for fast tuning across the band with the use of the scroll wheel on the mouse. If you do have to 'fine tune', simply hover over the 1/10, 1/100, or 1,1000 of kHz digits in the DSP panel and scroll.

The AM'ers though... they are all over the place on 160m and 80m due to the 'vintage' equipment used.

YMMV
