Hi Richard,

The X-Phase noise eliminators only work over a very narrow frequency band, so stand no chance of making any difference to broadband interference.  I've found that they are very good at dealing with local noise sources which have a narrow bandwidth: the trick is to make sure that the auxiliary antenna pulls in enough of the noise signal that it can be tuned out - too little and it will still be there because of the level received on the main antenna.  If you get the signal levels roughly balanced the effect on the noise is like magic!
