Re: New firmware update R3.0.7 for Airspy HF+ Dual Port and Discovery #airspyhfplus #firmware

Hi,

Really it depends on the firmware you were using before. I was on 3.0.0 so some good improvements, not the least being the extra bandwidth.

I have far too many SDRs, I use an Airspy Discovery on 2m to watch for Sporadic E and Tropo. There’s a local who a 104dB above the noise on the back of my beam, so the dynamic range here is essential at times.

I rarely use Airspy on HF because I use the ANAN 10e transceiver. I do have one or two HF+ on my server.

Thanks for the info Simon and Kriss.
Pardon my ignorance, but what good does this FW upgrade (R3.0.7) do?
Reading the Airspy change log ( https://airspy.com/downloads/hfplus_changelog.txt ) it looks like being a USB interface improvement. Is that correct?
What would that mean to me as a casual user?
Or, has the sampling band width increased? I do not think so.
