You provided no description of when this occurs - what mode you are using, bandwidth/sample rate, channel bandwidth you set or description of what might be displayed on the spectrum and waterfall display.  Could it be a hardware issue?  Some audio enhancement or sound card setting on your pc causing issues?

A suggestion would be to attach a screenshot (it's the camera icon at the top) of the full screen to provide a glimpse of what may be going on.

Take a look to see whether you have the notch filter or any noise reduction turned on.  I can always tell listening to music on AM broadcasts that I have the notch filter unintentionally enabled.
